Ghanaian rappers Ko-Jo Cue and Shaker reunite for their latest collaboration, “This Trip,” a compelling Hip-Hop record that marks the beginning of another chapter in the duo’s celebrated musical journey.
Released on October 2, 2026, “This Trip” serves as the title track of a two-song release that also features “Seen Dreams” with TiTi Owusu. The project acts as a warm-up to the highly anticipated “Pen & Paper 2,” the follow-up to their acclaimed 2017 collaborative album.
Produced by Paq, the record provides a polished backdrop for Ko-Jo Cue and Shaker to showcase their lyrical chemistry. Their complementary rap styles create an engaging performance that keeps the focus on lyricism, storytelling, and the energy that has defined their partnership.
“This Trip” carries the feeling of embarking on a familiar journey from a different perspective. The record reflects the duo’s continued growth while reconnecting with the sharp writing and musical chemistry that made their earlier collaboration memorable.
Ko-Jo Cue brings his distinctive lyrical presence to the record, while Shaker adds his own delivery and creative direction. Together, they create a balanced performance that demonstrates why their partnership remains an important part of Ghana’s rap culture.
One of the standout qualities of “This Trip” is the sense of continuity surrounding the release. Nearly a decade after the original Pen & Paper, the two artistes return with new material while preparing to expand the story through Pen & Paper 2.
The release also gives fans a preview of what to expect from the upcoming project, combining experienced lyricism with a fresh contemporary approach. The accompanying official video further brings the record’s concept to life.
With “This Trip,” Ko-Jo Cue and Shaker deliver a strong collaborative record that celebrates their musical chemistry while opening the door to the next chapter of their Pen & Paper journey.
