Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has paid a courtesy visit to the Ashanti Regional Police Command following a series of engagements during his recent stay in Kumasi.
The musician visited the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters, where he met with Ashanti Regional Police Commander COP Arthur Osei-Akoto as part of his activities in the regional capital.
The visit came after Shatta Wale’s planned concert at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was cancelled due to security concerns surrounding the expected crowd. Following the cancellation, the artiste and his team adjusted their itinerary and continued with other engagements across Kumasi.
Despite the cancellation of the KNUST show, Shatta Wale continued to attract significant attention during his time in the city, with large crowds gathering at various points to welcome and support him.
He also performed at Stamford Lounge and Bar, where he delivered a high-energy performance before proceeding with the rest of his Kumasi activities.
His visit to the Police Command provided a more formal conclusion to the Kumasi tour, bringing together the entertainment and security sides of his visit. The courtesy meeting with the regional police leadership also highlighted the importance of security cooperation around major public entertainment activities.
