Former Akuapem North Municipal Chief Executive Dennis Miracles Aboagye has spoken about the circumstances surrounding the termination of his appointment by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2020.
Aboagye said he was shocked by the decision and indicated that he was not given an explanation for the termination at the time. His appointment was revoked in August 2020, with Barima Awuah Sarpong Asiedu-Larbi subsequently named as his replacement.
The decision attracted attention at the time because the stated reason for Aboagye’s removal was unclear. Shortly after leaving the MCE position, he was reassigned to support the NPP’s 2020 election campaign in the Eastern Region, where he highlighted his experience in grassroots mobilisation and campaign strategy.
