Tragedy Strikes: 15-Year-Old Boy Loses Life After Alleged Beating by Mother Over GH¢80

A devastating incident has occurred in Kasoa American Town, resulting in the tragic death of a 15-year-old boy. According to reports gathered by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the boy’s mother, a bakery owner, accused her son of stealing GH¢80.00 over the weekend.

In a fit of rage, the mother allegedly beat the boy and threatened to hand him over to the police if he failed to confess. Tragically, the boy died in a taxi en route to the police station.

GNA visited the victim’s home on Monday, where a sad gathering of relatives dressed in mourning attire was seen. The incident has raised concerns about parental discipline and the consequences of physical abuse.

Relatives of the deceased 15-year-old boy have declined to comment on the incident, stating only that the matter has been reported to the Kasoa Divisional Police Command. However, when GNA followed up with the police, they revealed that no such report had been filed.

The mother’s bakery, which was previously bustling with activity, was found locked and deserted when GNA visited. The sudden silence and lack of cooperation from the family have raised suspicions and fueled speculation about the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been taken to the Mother and Child Hospital at CP, a suburb of Kasoa, for further examination and autopsy. The community remains in shock, awaiting answers and justice for the young life lost.

As the investigation continues, many questions remain unanswered. Why did the family fail to report the incident to the police? What really happened in the hours leading up to the boy’s tragic death? The truth remains elusive, but one thing is certain – a young life has been cut short, and justice must be served.
